Foundation Standards:
"As the foundation to my Life&Standards®Promise, from this day forward, I promise to always endeavour to discipline myself by embracing the following standards, online, via electronic communication, across all social media, and in the physical real world":
1. [Decorum] Is behaviour which is generally considered to be correct, polite, and respectable.
2. [Empathy] Is the ability to share another person’s feelings and emotions as if they were your own.
3. [Etiquette] In simpler words is defined as good behaviour which distinguishes human beings from animals. It is really important for human beings to behave in an appropriate way. Etiquette refers to behaving in a socially responsible way. Etiquette enables the individual to earn respect and appreciation in society. Etiquette instils a feeling of trust and loyalty in individuals. One becomes more responsible and mature. Etiquette helps individuals to value relationships.
4. [Integrity] Is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values.
Primary Rejected Element:
As the PRIMARY REJECTED ACTION AND ACTIVITY ELEMENT at the forefront of my Life&Standards®Promise, from this day forward, I promise to reject, and WILL NOT knowingly or deliberately, participate in, endorse, or encourage any form of [harm of any child or young person], online, via electronic communication, across any social media platform, or in the physical real world.
Definition: Harm means the ill-treatment or the impairment of health or development of a child or young person, including, for example, impairment suffered from seeing or hearing the ill-treatment of another human being, with development meaning the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, or behavioural development of a child or young person; and health meaning the physical or mental health of a child or young person. We use the term 'children' to refer to younger children who do not have the maturity and understanding to make important decisions for themselves. We use the term 'young people' to refer to older or more experienced children who are more likely to be able to make these decisions for themselves.
